medications, and insurance information will be given
to you to complete at the office (and will be
available online shortly).
In order for our New York Dentists to care for your oral health,
we need to be familiar with your overall health. Patients
with certain medical problems, such as hypertension
or asthma, may require special care during dental procedures.
Certain patients, such as those with heart murmurs and
prosthetic joint replacements, may need to be premedicated
with antibiotics before their dental visits, in order
to prevent a systemic bacterial infection. The medications
used during your visits, or those prescribed to you
after your procedures, may be contraindicated with certain
medical conditions and medications. Full disclosure
of your medical history is therefore necessary and
extremely important to us.
