The Latest Dental Technology
in New York City
We
have always been the first to bring our patients the latest
in dental technology. Our office has amassed a wealth of state-of-the-art
dental products that allow us to offer our patients dental
services that are faster, and less intrusive, with less pain.
The services we offer include:

Our
office was the first in the U.S. to offer the CEREC
3D. This German-engineered system uses infrared photography and a computerized,
robotic milling system to fabricate veneers, crowns
and restorations. Its laser
scanner outlines and preserves the genetic design of
one of your teeth with pixel precision. CEREC 3D completes
these restorations in one visit, versus the traditional
2-3 visits. Our doctors can do as many as 20 front tooth
veneers on a patient in one day. Dr. Derry Rogers, the
editor of Reality (the leading International Dental
Esthetic Journal), upon examining completed cases in
our office, pronounced CEREC veneers the most beautiful
and natural dental restorations he had ever seen.

We
will help you create your new smile using
computer-aided digital morphing.
After taking photographs of your smile, a treatment coordinator will load your pictures into the computer and sit down
with you in order to help you design your new smile, tooth by
tooth. The before and after photos will be given to
you for your use.

Using
a high pressure spray of extremely fine aluminaoxide
particles, decay is bombarded away while healthy tooth
is preserved. No anesthesia is required because air
abrasion virtually eliminates heat, vibration and noise
- the three main causes of discomfort. This technology
is better than laser.

This
probe allows a standard measurement of periodontal pocket
depth electronically and accurately. One of the most
important patient motivators in the treatment of periodontal
disease is measurement of progress. The Florida Probe
is the leader in clinical periodontal diagnostic tools
and provides for the most precise and in-depth measurement
from examination to examination.

Reduces radiation exposure up to 90%. Instant images
can each be used to examine teeth for virtually any
problem or disorder. Programmed for magnification, colorization,
and measurement to give you the highest level of accuracy.
Images can be magnified 1800x. Jeffery Slovin, the president
of Schick (one of our very happy CEREC patients) has
selected the Iott group as a prime beta site for more
advanced digitally radiographed techniques. More

Diagnodent technology uses a simple laser diode to inspect
your teeth, allowing us to detect more areas of decay
sooner and with more precision. It requires no x-rays
and it is totally painless. Cavities are laser read
on a scale of 0-99 with a specific diagnosis for each
score allowing us to differentiate between cavities
needing fillings, sealants, or those bearing watching.

Medical
conditions such as arterial plaques and cancers can
be picked up using Digital Panorex. Digital full face
imaging allows anatomically correct geometry, elimination
of shadows and constant magnification. Used for a comprehensive
diagnoses with less radiation for one photo of your
whole lower face including TMJ joints. More

The
CO2 laser has been used successfully for head and neck
surgery for over 30 years. It uses infrared energy to
remove tissue through vaporization, therefore there
is minimal pain and no bleeding. Since it sterilizes
as it cuts there is no need for antibiotics. Lasers
drive peripheral nerves inward eliminating the need
for pain killers. There is no swelling, no trauma, no
scarring, no periodontal dressings and no sutures required. More

A
range of technologies are available in the office, but
in general the treatment consists of a gentle hydrogen-peroxide whitening gel activated by
a special patented light operating in the gentle "blue
spectrum".
It is important to know that none of our methods are
UV, heat, or laser activated. The whitening
technologies that we have available include
BriteSmile, Luma Arch,
Zoom, and Creative.

Used
in conjunction with a conventional visual oral mucosal
examination, the ViziLite(TM) test improves identification,
evaluation and monitoring of oral mucosal abnormalities
in those patients who are at increased risk for cancer. The ViziLite
Test Kit includes a handheld disposable chemi-luminescent
light and a 1% acetic acid mouth rinse that work together
to help dental professionals detect abnormalities in
the oral cavity that might not be visible to the unaided
eye. More
